Kick The Can Down The Road

On Thursday we took a look at the weekly chart.

We observed that stocks formed a weekly swing high the previous week and were in the process of delivering bearish follow through this week. This was week 19, placing stocks in the early part of its timing band for an ICL. A close below the 10 week MA will signal the intermediate cycle decline. Stock should then go on to turn the 10 week MA lower as it seeks out its ICL.

The weekly chart changed in 24 hours to forming a weekly bullish reversal.

That was because after Wednesday’s huge sell-off, stocks were unable deliver any bearish follow through. Instead stocks rallied on Friday, closing back above the 50 day MA to make it look like Friday was the daily cycle low — kicking the (correction) can down the road.

In my special report – The Yearly Cycle Decline, we will look at historical data for previous yearly cycle declines.  Then I will discuss the elements of the yearly cycle decline and then relate that to where stock are in their current yearly cycle. And, as bonus, I will also discuss the 4 year cycle low.
