Miner Patience

The Miners

The Miners printed their lowest point on day 46 to place them deep in their timing band for a day cycle low.  The Miners formed a swing low and closed above the 10 day MA on August 17th which in real time looked like a new daily cycle.

The Miners ended last week by closing below the 10 day MA.  Since the 10 day MA did not turn higher that obscured our daily cycle count.

Fast forward to this week. The Miners printed a bullish reversal just above support from the rising 50 day MA on Tuesday. They formed a swing low and closed above the 10 day MA on Wednesday — turning the 10 day MA higher. That signals a new daily cycle. The cycle low should be the lowest point following the daily cycle peak. However a cycle low can migrate to the apex of a triangle consolidation. And the rising 50 day MA appears to be the lower stem of this triangle consolidation.

A break above the declining (dashed) trend line would confirm the new daily cycle.  Any bearish follow through will indicate a continuation of the daily cycle decline.
